At the heart of Belaku's philosophy is the idea that architecture should respond to nature, rather than compete with it. The studio's name, Belaku, means "light" in Kannada, symbolizing the studio's commitment to harnessing the power of daylight in all its forms. The team believes that the simple act of letting in more natural light and air can transform a space—improving mood, increasing productivity, and fostering a deeper connection between people and their environment.
